FORESCEE HOGAN-ROWLES NAMED SECOND DISTRICT HONOREE FOR 26TH ANNUAL WOMEN OF THE YEAR AWARD
Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas is pleased to announce that Forescee Hogan-Rowles, president and chief executive officer of the Community Financial Resource Center, is the Second District recipient of the 26th Annual Women of the Year Award. Hogan-Rowles and honorees from the four other Supervisorial Districts will be honored at a luncheon hosted by the Los Angeles County Commission for Women at 11 a.m. Monday, March 14, at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.
“Forescee has a long history of outstanding service to Los Angeles,” said Supervisor Ridley-Thomas. “Her skills, abilities and commitment to economic empowerment have yielded tangible results – new businesses, new jobs and new enterprises for the community.”
For the past 25 years, the commission has honored women who serve as outstanding role models for women, and who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in their professions.
Other honorees include: Faye Washington, chief executive officer for the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles, Aileen Getty, community advocate and founder of Gettlove, Terri Chew Nishimura, executive director of policy and community affairs for the Pediatric Therapy Network, Jane Frye, director of the High Desert Medical Group Urgent Care, and Dianne Curtis, president of Zonta International.
“I applaud these outstanding women who empower others, influence their communities, and inspire economic change,” said Supervisor Ridley-Thomas. “These phenomenal honorees are role models for women throughout the County.”
