Presentation of scrolls to the following LA County Sheriff and Fire Departments’ personnel for their extraordinary acts of heroism in the early morning hours of December 13, 2009, when they rescued a woman and her son from a burning home in East Rancho Dominguez, as arranged by Supervisor Ridley-Thomas.

Compton Sheriff’s Station: Sergeant Ulysses Cruz, and Deputies Miguel Balderrama, Irma Rayas, DeJay Barber, Michael Kurinuj, Paul Carmona, and Dru Strong.
