Supervisor Ridley-Thomas and ABC7’s Jane Monreal give a holiday welcome at the ABC7 & Firefighter’s “Spark of Love Toy Drive” at The Promenade at Howard Hughes Center

Supervisor Ridley-Thomas addresses the City of Compton Mayor and Pastors Quarterly Breakfast Meeting. The Supervisor is introduced by Compton Mayor Eric J. Perrodin.

Los Angeles Sentinel: “Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas was the guest of honor at the recent Annual Holiday Christmas Party at Helen Keller Park, hosted by the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts of Los Angeles, C.U.R.E., and Pete Carroll of A Better Los Angeles.

Over 2,500 people of all ages were present to partake in the holiday party favors which included a complete Christmas meal, carnival rides, games, and concessions, and an unwrapped Christmas gift and a pair of athletic shoes for all of the children.”

Supervisor Ridley-Thomas was also joined by his two sons, Sebastian and Sinclair, who helped him pass out toys to the children. The video concludes with a holiday greeting from Sebastian and Sinclair to the residents of the Second Supervisorial District

Supervisor Ridley-Thomas presented the United Children’s Chorus (UCC) with a Scroll of Commendation from the County Board of Supervisors for their contributions to the cultural life of our region and dedication to upholding the tradition of gospel music in the African American community. Later the UCC sang, “Jesus, Oh What A Wonderful Child,” to the Board of Supervisors. The UCC, which was established in 1993, is under the direction of Willie R. Norwood, Sr. and Rayvalline L.G. Harrell.
