County Library Bookmark Contest

The 30th Annual Bookmark Contest is here! This year’s theme is Books and Beyond! ~ ¡Libros y el Mas Allá! Categories include:

Kindergarten – Grade 2
Grades 3 – 5
Grades 6 – 8
Grades 9 – 12 New!

Library winners will be announced November 9-13, 2009. Grand prize winners will be announced February 2010. See last year’s winners (including Lennox 6th Grader Cindy Leyva’s winning bookmark at right).

First AME Church will host the 5th Annual Back-to-School Giveaway & Health Fair on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the FAME Renaissance Corporation.

First AME Church will provide free backpacks, books, calculators, shoes and much more to prepare local youth as they return to school. First AME will also offer free health screenings and free food to all attendees.
