2010 was a productive year for the Second District. Check out some of the highlights from the past year here!

Help Habitat for Humanity Provide Home Repairs to Senior Citizens!

Habitat for Humanity Los Angeles needs your help. The organization has been nominated for a $50,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project which will help them provide much-needed home repairs for senior citizens in the Greater Los Angeles area. Habitat is asking for your help to achieve this goal. Votes can be made once a day, every day, in the month of October 2010.

Los Angeles County Crime Database

Carson Crime

The L.A. Times launched a new database that maps and analyzes crime reports across L.A. County. Using daily reports from the LAPD and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. The Times is providing a comprehensive stream of data on serious crimes, tracking trends and offering alerts at the neighborhood level.
