Don’t miss it!
The change in service hours at selected libraries is the result of budget reductions due to decreased revenues.
For more information about library locations and listing of libraries adopting new service hours, visit www.colapublib.org.
The County of Los Angeles Public Library provides library service to over 3.5 million residents living in unincorporated areas and to residents of 51 of the 88 incorporated cities of Los Angeles County. The service area extends over 3,000 square miles. Supplementing the 7.7 million volume book collection, the Library also offers magazines, newspapers, microfilm, government publications and many specialized reference materials including online database searching.
The new 7,000-square-foot library will be 40% larger than the existing space and create approximately 200 jobs.
What You Will Learn: You will learn how to develop an ocean friendly garden using native plants, water-efficient irrigation devices (such as “smart” sprinkler controllers and drip irrigation), permeable materials and on-site water retention techniques (to reduce dry-weather run-off pollution to our oceans).
