L.A. Rainwater Harvesting Program

Rainwater

You may qualify for a FREE Rainwater Harvesting installation where you can save money on your water expenses and join your community in preserving the environment. By participating in this program you will be capturing rainwater directly on your property and then later using it for lawn irrigation. You will also be reducing the amount of urban runoff that will reach the stormdrain system and eventually lead to our local rivers and ocean. The installation and equipment costs for this project are worth up to $250, but they will be provided at NO COST to you for this pilot program.

First preference is going to be given to those residents and businesses that live in the pilot program’s 3 neighborhoods of Jefferson, Sawtelle and Mar Vista, but ALL properties located in the Ballona Creek Watershed are encouraged to apply as the program will soon begin accommodating some of those outside the pilot areas listed on a first come first served basis.

Upcoming Meeting: October 3rd (10am – 4pm) at the 2009 Mar Vista Fall Festival, Mar Vista Park, 11430 Woodbine Ave, LA CA 90066.
