The Los Angeles County Metropolitian Transportation Authority (Metro) Silver Line is extending its late night Friday and Saturday service until 2 a.m. starting Friday, August 17. The one hour weekend extension means the last bus will now depart Artesia Transit Center at 1:56 a.m. and El Monte Bus Station at 2 a.m. This Silve Line’s new extended weekend schedule joins the red, purple, green, blue, gold, orange, and expo transit lines in running until 2 a.m.
The Silver Line connects downtown Los Angeles to the San Gabriel Valley and the South Bay. The new late-night service will offer transit riders from these areas a new option to help them explore, as well as connect them to the rest of the Metro system, making it easier than ever to get around on weekend nights.
