Crenshaw/LAX Maintenance Facility Workshop Tomorrow

Metro Rail

At the direction of the Metro Board of Directors in December 2009, the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor project team is beginning a process to identify and analyze NEW sites along the proposed Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line for a maintenance facility. Toward that end please join us for a community workshop:

Wednesday, February 24, 2010, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Westchester United Methodist Church

8065 Emerson Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90045

This important workshop is our first community meeting since the Metro Board of Directors unanimously adopted the LRT as the Locally Preferred Alternative for the Crenshaw/LAX Corridor. The workshop will provide context on the compatibility of rail yards with other land uses such as residential and commercial and will familiarize participants with Metro’s operations and site requirements. Maintenance and Service Facilities are used to store, maintain, repair and clean light rail vehicles.

We look forward to your participation at the Maintenance Facility Workshop. Please feel free to share this invitation with your neighbors and colleagues.

Please RSVP for this meeting to Ms. Roxi Reeves at or call 213.891.2965.
