Help Shape The Future Of The South Bay Metro Green Line Extension

We would like to invite you to attend a Community Meeting on the South Bay Metro Green Line Extension. The Environmental Review process started earlier this year with four Public Scoping meetings in April and May. These meetings were designed to introduce the project and gather initial community input.

These Community Meetings will provide an overview and update of the project, recap of the Scoping Meetings, as well as progress on the project alternatives and proposed station locations.

Metro encourages you to become involved with the project planning by coming to learn about the key features, ask questions and provide important feedback. All meetings are open to the public and we urge you to invite your friends and neighbors.

Supervisor Ridley-Thomas Calls For An Expo Line Inspector General

Neon Tommy

From USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism:

L.A. County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas will ask his colleagues on the Expo Line Board of Directors to considering hiring a full-time inspector general and ethics officer for the light rail construction authority.

“Both the large scale of the Exposition Metro Line and the varied composition of its Board of Directors require the oversight of a full-time Inspector General and Ethics Officer,” says a motion by Ridley-Thomas posted to the Expo Authority website on Monday.

If the board approves his motion, a plan would be presented in October for creating the new position.

The authority currently relies on a contracted Metro employee for ethics compliance.

The board will consider the motion at its next meeting is 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the County Hall of Administration.
