Supervisor Ridley-Thomas honored the Westchester High School Comets’ basketball team, winners of a fifth State Division I championship, at yesterday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. The Comets easily defeated McClymonds 49-31 in the title game in Sacramento. It was the school’s first state title since 2005. Supervisor Yaroslavsky also praised the Westchester team for its accomplishments.
